London police are investigating a serious two-vehicle crash that sent seven people to hospital early Saturday morning. Emergency crews responded around 3:30 a.m. to the intersection of Trafalgar Street and Condor Court, west of Clarke Road.

Eight people were involved in the collision — three suffered life-threatening injuries, four had minor injuries, and one person was unhurt. Both vehicles remained at the scene.

Trafalgar Street was closed for most of the day between Falcon Street and Dawn Drive as the London Police Service’s Road Safety Section conducted its investigation. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and no charges have been announced.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 3:20 and 3:40 a.m., or who has dashcam or security footage, to contact investigators at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Update – On October 27, London police provided an update that a 22-year-old man who had sustained life-threatening injuries from the accident has died.

Following the investigation, 41-year-old Peter George James Caron of London has been charged with multiple offences, including dangerous and impaired operation causing death and bodily harm. Additional charges include operating a vehicle while prohibited, driving under suspension, failing to wear a seatbelt, and possessing an open container of alcohol. Caron remains in custody after a court appearance on October 25 and is scheduled to return to court on Monday.
