A 72-year-old man from Thunder Bay has died following a motorcycle collision on Manitoulin Island.
Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 6 near White’s Point Road in Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands Township at approximately 9:10 a.m. The incident involved a motorcycle and a vehicle towing a trailer.
The motorcyclist was transported to hospital but later died from his injuries.
Highway 6 remained closed between Green Bush Road and Morphet’s Side Road as investigators examined the scene. The investigation is continuing with support from OPP collision reconstruction specialists, and police are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage from the area.
