An 80-year-old Pembroke resident has been charged with careless driving after a vehicle struck an Ontario Provincial Police officer who was directing traffic following a collision.
The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Drive-In Road and Pembroke Street East. Police said the officer was hit by a vehicle making a left turn onto Pembroke Street East.
The officer was not injured in the incident. Police have charged the driver with careless driving.
