An 81-year-old woman remains in serious but stable condition following a two-vehicle collision in Barrie on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Ardagh Road and Pass Court shortly before 3:30 p.m. after reports of a crash. The woman was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto for medical care, while the other driver escaped without injury.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision, and it remains unclear whether any charges will be laid.
The intersection was closed for about an hour as crews removed debris and cleared the scene, reopening to traffic around 4:20 p.m. Barrie Police Service confirmed the investigation is continuing.
