An 83-year-old man is in a trauma hospital following a serious vehicle crash on Monck Road near Lake Dalrymple in Kawartha Lakes. The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday, prompting a response from the Kawartha Lakes OPP, along with fire and emergency services.
The road was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation. The man was airlifted to the hospital by Ornge air ambulance.
The roadway has since reopened. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision. The OPP is appealing to the public for any information, dash cam, or surveillance footage from the area around the time of the crash.
