An 86-year-old cyclist was injured following a collision with a pickup truck in Kitchener. The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Homer Watson Boulevard and Block Line Road roundabout.
The cyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The pickup truck driver was not injured, and police expect charges to be laid.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
Update – Following an investigation, police charged the 20-year-old pickup truck driver with careless driving causing bodily harm and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
