Sault Ste. Marie police are investigating a Saturday evening collision that fatally injured a 91-year-old pedestrian. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. near Dacey Road and Terry Fox Place.

The victim was taken to hospital but did not survive. Police say the driver was not hurt and no charges had been laid as of Sunday. Traffic Services continues to investigate and is not seeking further information from the public at this time.

A small police presence remained at the scene Sunday morning, and authorities have not released details about those involved or the vehicle.
