An Aylmer police officer is facing a careless driving charge in connection with a collision that happened on Dec. 3, 2024, near Talbot and John Street. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. and sent the officer, a six-year member of the service, along with three other individuals to hospital. The officer sustained minor injuries, while the others were examined as a precaution.
At the request of Aylmer Police, St. Thomas Police conducted the investigation, which resulted in the single charge.
