Police are investigating an arson attack at a home in Oshawa and are looking for three suspects believed to be connected to the incident.

Durham Regional Police say officers were called to a residential fire near Richmond Street East and Ritson Road North at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators allege that three men entered the house, deliberately set a fire, and left the area before police arrived.

When officers reached the scene, flames had already spread across the main floor of the home. One man was evacuated and taken to hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Fire crews later brought the blaze under control.

Police believe the suspects escaped in a black sedan. Authorities also noted that the same residence had been targeted in a shooting several months earlier. In that incident, which occurred late on Nov. 20, 2025, homeowners later discovered their house and vehicle had been struck by gunfire.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 11 p.m. and midnight on Tuesday, or who may have surveillance or dash-cam footage, to contact the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch.
