Toronto police are searching for a suspect accused of setting a building on fire in the city’s east end while four people were inside. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, just after 3:30 a.m., near Queen Street East and Wineva Avenue in The Beaches.
Authorities say the suspect used an accelerant to ignite the fire before fleeing on foot. One of the four people inside sustained minor injuries. According to police, the suspect was last seen wearing a black mask, black gloves, a dark grey hoodie, black Puma sweatpants, and black shoes.
The motive behind the arson remains unclear.
