Emergency crews responded to a house fire in northwest Barrie on Saturday afternoon that caused significant damage. The fire occurred at the intersection of Anne Street North and Livingstone Street West, starting in the basement and leading to nearly $700,000 in property damage.

Barrie’s Deputy Fire Chief, Justin Gilbert, confirmed that all residents safely evacuated, with no injuries reported. However, the homeowners are now displaced. Six fire crews were involved in tackling the blaze, but the cause remains undetermined.
