A 29-year-old man from Barrie was found dead after a vehicle was discovered overturned on Highway 400 early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred on the northbound side, just north of Duckworth Street near the Highway 11 split.

Provincial police received a 911 call shortly after 7 a.m. and responded to the scene. The OPP K9 unit was deployed to search the area for any other potential occupants, but it was confirmed that the man was alone in the vehicle.

The crash resulted in partial lane closures while crews repaired the damaged guardrail and cleared the wreckage. All lanes reopened by late afternoon, around 4 p.m.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
