A 29-year-old man from Barrie is facing multiple charges after allegedly rolling his vehicle on an Innisfil road earlier this week.

On Wednesday night around 9:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Shore Acres Drive. The driver lost control of his silver Nissan Versa, which flipped and came to rest on the northbound side of the road with significant front-end damage.

Upon investigation, officers found empty alcohol containers in the vehicle, leading them to suspect the driver was impaired. The man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. He was charged with impaired driving by alcohol and drugs, operating with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, and driving without a license.

His license was suspended, and his vehicle impounded. A court appearance is scheduled for September.
