Barrie police have closed an investigation into a pedestrian hit-and-run incident after issuing a public appeal for information. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive.

A girl, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, was walking westbound on Big Bay Point Road when she was struck by a vehicle. Police sought public assistance on Tuesday morning, and within hours, confirmed that the girl had not sustained any injuries, leading to the case being closed.

No charges have been mentioned.
