The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of a fire that completely destroyed a home in Bayfield early Sunday morning. Emergency crews were called to 33 Main Street around 4 a.m. to find the home engulfed in flames.
No one was inside at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. The blaze caused the roof of the home to collapse, leaving the structure completely destroyed.
The house, located next to Market 29 on Main Street and near The Little Inn, was the only property affected. No other buildings in the area were damaged. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
