Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a fatal vehicle fire in Adjala-Tosorontio Township. Emergency responders arrived on County Road 50 shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and discovered one person deceased inside the burned vehicle. The road was shut down between Highway 89 and 30th Sideroad for several hours and reopened around 8 p.m.
Investigators believe the event was isolated and pose no ongoing threat to the public. The Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit, supported by the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, is overseeing the case.
