Six people were injured—one with life-altering injuries—following a head-on crash near Arthur, Ontario, on Monday. The collision occurred just after 7 p.m. on Wellington Road 109, about 40 km north of Guelph.

According to Wellington County OPP, a van with four occupants was involved in the crash. One passenger was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious, life-altering but non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining three suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The two occupants of the second vehicle also sustained minor injuries.

Ranjit Bhatti, 36, of Brampton, has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and failing to share the roadway. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
