A Brantford driver could face charges following a tractor-trailer rollover near Highway 403. On Monday afternoon, Ontario Provincial Police in Burlington responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes, just west of Sunnyridge Drive, where a truck had overturned into a ditch.
The 43-year-old driver, heading westbound around 3:28 p.m., reportedly veered into the center median, crossed into the eastbound lanes, crashed through a guardrail, and then rolled down the embankment. The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Due to the size of the truck and its cargo, which police have not specified, it took several hours to remove the vehicle from the ditch. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the accident, and charges are expected.
