Ontario Provincial Police suspended a Caledon man’s licence after a Sunday morning crash left his vehicle travelling on Highway 401 with only three tires. Around 7 a.m., officers responded to several reports of an unsafe driver near Port Hope, where callers said the vehicle had struck a barrier.

Police found the damaged car stopped on the highway shoulder and arrested the 36-year-old driver. He is charged with impaired operation involving alcohol and drugs, refusing testing, dangerous driving, and operating a vehicle with improper tires.

His licence has been suspended for 90 days, the vehicle has been impounded for a week, and he is scheduled to appear in court in January.
