A 77-year-old man from Cambridge died Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 404 near 16th Avenue, between Markham and Richmond Hill.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the man’s vehicle broke down in the northbound lanes around 8:30 a.m. He exited the vehicle and was hit by an oncoming car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
