Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that sideswiped a car on the eastbound QEW near Mississauga Road on Monday afternoon, causing the struck car to flip onto its roof and land in a ditch.
The victim sustained minor injuries and exited the overturned vehicle on his own before being taken to hospital as a precaution. Road conditions were clear at the time of the 2 p.m. crash.
The offending driver fled, and no description of the vehicle is available. The collision damaged a sound wall and caused temporary traffic backups as emergency crews responded.
