A section of Hawthorne Road in Ottawa’s south end was closed late Wednesday morning following a rollover collision involving a cement truck. Emergency crews responded around 11:50 a.m. near Leitrim Road, prompting police to shut down the stretch between Hunt Club and Whyte Side roads, causing traffic delays in the area.
Paramedics said the male driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition. Police continue to direct traffic and are asking drivers to follow officers’ instructions at the scene.
