A 50-year-old Chatham man has been charged by Essex County OPP following a crash into a ditch in Lakeshore early Friday morning.
At 1:39 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on County Road 46. The driver was arrested and faces multiple charges, including impaired driving by alcohol and drugs, as well as exceeding the legal blood alcohol concentration limit.
As per regulations, the driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is set to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on September 17.
