A late-week incident in Aylmer led to charges against a school bus driver after a student was hit while crossing the street. Emergency crews responded on Dec. 4 to the intersection of Wellington and Talbot, where a bus turning onto Wellington struck a child in the shoulder, causing minor injuries.
The child was taken to hospital for assessment and later released. Police have charged a 73-year-old local driver with failing to yield to a pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.
