A 5-year-old child was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Goderich on Saturday afternoon.
Huron County OPP and Huron County EMS responded to the collision on Quebec Street shortly before 2:30 p.m. The child sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a trauma centre, where they remain in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Quebec Street was temporarily closed between Waterloo Street South and Wellington Street South while police investigated. The investigation has since concluded, and the roadway has reopened.
