Two people are in critical condition after a collision between an SUV and a three-wheeled motorcycle in Fort Erie.
Niagara Regional Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Helena Street and Dominion Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
Police say a white Nissan SUV collided with a red Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle. The two occupants of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital outside the region for treatment.
A passenger in the SUV was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was later released.
The intersection was closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene. The roads reopened around 9 p.m.
The cause and circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
