Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run after a 30-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a transport truck on Highway 401 in North York Sunday evening.
The collision occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the westbound express lanes near Keele Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and all westbound lanes were closed for several hours for the investigation before reopening later that night.
Police report that the truck left the scene and are asking the public for any information that could help identify the vehicle or its driver. The investigation remains ongoing.
