A 58-year-old Kitchener driver is facing multiple charges, including impaired driving, following a two-vehicle collision on King Street East near Riverbank Drive around 6:20 p.m. on Monday. Waterloo Regional Police said the driver of a grey Ford pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic, sideswiping a black Chevrolet SUV before going into a ditch.
Both the truck driver and SUV occupants were treated for minor injuries at the hospital. The truck driver has been charged with impaired operation, dangerous driving, seatbelt violations, and speeding.
