A collision temporarily closed Highway 17 east of Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday morning. According to Ontario 511, the highway was shut down in both directions between Highway 638 in Bruce Mines and Highway 129 in Thessalon after the crash was reported at 10:49 a.m. The route reopened shortly before 2:00 p.m.
