A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a truck while riding her bike in the Cabbagetown area on Thursday evening.
Toronto police said the collision occurred around 6 p.m. at Gerrard Street East and Parliament Street. Paramedics reported transporting the woman to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver remained at the scene, and although police have not identified the type of truck, video footage from the scene shows a dump truck stopped at the intersection.
Parliament Street was briefly closed between Spruce Street and Dundas Street East for the investigation but has since reopened.
