A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a cement truck in Toronto’s Moss Park neighbourhood on Monday morning.

The collision happened at approximately 11:35 a.m. at the intersection of Queen Street East and Berkeley Street. Police said the driver of the cement truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash temporarily closed Queen Street East in both directions between Berkeley Street and Ontario Street while officers investigated. The roadway reopened at approximately 1:30 p.m.
