A cyclist suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brantford on Thursday morning.
The collision occurred around 7 a.m. at Colborne Street West and Shellard’s Lane, according to Brantford police. The cyclist was taken to a hospital outside the area for treatment. Police said the driver involved remained at the scene.
Investigators closed the roadway for several hours as they worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crash. The intersection reopened around noon.
