A food delivery driver remains in hospital after being struck in a hit-and-run Saturday night in the Craigleith area near the Blue Mountains. Ontario Provincial Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. as the driver attempted to cross Grey Road 19 while completing a delivery.
The victim, a 43-year-old man from Collingwood, suffered serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre. The vehicle involved left the scene before police arrived. Investigators are urging the driver to come forward and are asking witnesses or anyone with video footage to contact OPP.
Update – A 31-year-old man from Kitchener was arrested on Feb 5 and has been charged with failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm.
