Hamilton police are looking into a fatal crash involving two vehicles at a rural intersection Tuesday night.
The collision occurred shortly after 8 p.m. at Woodburn Road and Binbrook Road. Investigators say a southbound 2020 Dodge Ram did not stop and collided with an eastbound 2018 Ford Edge, sending both vehicles off the road into a field.
Four people were inside the Ford Edge. A man from the London, Ontario area who was in the front passenger seat died after being taken to hospital. The driver and another adult passenger sustained severe, life-altering injuries. A toddler in the vehicle was critically hurt but has since stabilized.
The driver of the pickup truck was also hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police indicate that charges are expected as the investigation moves forward, though specifics have not yet been released.
