A 20-year-old dirt bike rider from Cambridge suffered serious injuries following a collision involving two vehicles on the outskirts of the city Monday afternoon.
Waterloo Regional Police responded to the crash around 4:10 p.m. on Dundas Street North near Branchton Road. The injured rider was airlifted to a hospital outside the region for treatment.
The second driver, a 21-year-old man from Hannon, was also hurt but sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
As investigators examined the scene, Dundas Street was temporarily shut down between Branchton Road and Vanier Drive. Police have not released details about the cause of the collision or whether charges will be laid.
