Five people are hospitalized and a suspected impaired driver has been arrested following a multi-vehicle collision in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive, on the border between Brampton and Vaughan. Peel Regional Police, along with York Regional Police, responded to the scene.
Peel Police confirmed that four vehicles were involved, and multiple individuals were injured, including one with life-threatening injuries.
Peel paramedics transported two people to the hospital in stable condition, while York paramedics rushed three others: one to a trauma center and two to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unclear.
A man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. All vehicles involved in the crash remained at the scene.
