An Ontario driver has been charged following a school bus crash in Zorra Township on Friday morning. The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. on September 12, when a school bus, which had stopped at a railway crossing, was struck by a passenger vehicle.
There were seven students on board the bus, but fortunately, no injuries were reported in either vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle was charged with following too closely, though their identity has not been released.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reminded drivers that school buses are legally required to stop at all railway crossings for safety.
