The southbound lanes of Highway 400 at Finch Avenue remain closed following a serious collision involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.
Ontario Provincial Police reported the crash occurred around 2 p.m., when the passenger vehicle struck the rear of the slower-moving tractor-trailer. The driver of the car was critically injured and taken to hospital, while the truck driver was unharmed.
Authorities say road conditions were hazardous at the time due to heavy snowfall, though the exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
