Barrie police temporarily shut down part of Yonge Street on Saturday evening after a two-vehicle collision in the city’s south end, where one driver allegedly ran from the scene.
Officers were called just after 5 p.m., and the remaining driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the traffic unit investigated.
The closure, affecting the section between Little Avenue and Foster Drive, lasted several hours. Police announced the roadway had fully reopened shortly before midnight.
