A senior woman was taken to hospital after her vehicle crashed through a fence outside Knoxdale Public School in Ottawa on Thursday afternoon.
Paramedics responded to the scene on Greenbank Road at about 3 p.m. and said the driver may have suffered a medical emergency before losing control of the vehicle. She was transported to hospital in stable condition, and no other injuries were reported.
A local councillor said the vehicle appeared to have crossed from a nearby parking lot before striking the fence, adding that no children were in the affected area at the time of the crash.
