A collision with a hydro pole has forced the closure of an intersection in Wellington North Township for several hours.
Ontario Provincial Police say the single-vehicle crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. Friday at Southgate Sideroad 49 and Highway 89 near Mount Forest. When officers arrived, hydro lines were hanging across the road, and the vehicle had ended up in a nearby ditch.
The driver managed to exit the vehicle and received treatment from paramedics. Hydro crews remained on site to repair the damaged pole, keeping the intersection closed during the work.
