Emergency crews responded to a crash near Bayview Avenue and Rosedale Valley Road on Sunday afternoon after a pickup truck left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.
Police say the vehicle struck a utility pole shortly before 2:30 p.m., knocking it down before veering off the road. The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The fallen pole temporarily blocked a southbound lane on Bayview Avenue until first responders cleared the scene.
