Waterloo Regional Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that injured a 20-year-old man early Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to King Street North near Bridgeport Road East around 12:30 a.m., where a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The driver fled before police arrived, and the victim was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a dark-coloured Ford Fusion from 2013 or newer. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area to contact them at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
