The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after reportedly striking a pedestrian in a crosswalk in Listowel.
On Saturday at about 10 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Livingstone Avenue South and Elam Street West, where they found that a pedestrian had been hit but was unharmed. The driver, however, had left the scene before police arrived.
Authorities are on the lookout for a newer compact SUV, which may have a dent on the hood from the collision. The suspect is described as a short, young white woman with long dark hair.
