Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Wilmot. Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to reports of a vehicle leaving the road and hitting a hydro pole near Christner Road and Waterloo Street.
The crash caused significant damage to the pole and downed power lines. The driver fled the scene. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a red Chevrolet Silverado, model years 2017-2021, with noticeable front-end damage and missing the Chevrolet emblem. The investigation is ongoing.
