Emergency responders are reminding motorists that sunny weather does not guarantee safe driving conditions.
Crews were called Sunday afternoon to a single-vehicle crash on Wellington Road South, where a car went over a bridge and landed in Dingman Creek. The vehicle was found upright in the creek bed, which had little to no water at the time, according to London fire officials.
Firefighters assisted the driver out of the vehicle by lowering the convertible top and using a roof ladder to help him climb to safety. No injuries were reported. Officials say the incident highlights the importance of driving cautiously, even when roads appear dry and conditions seem favourable.
