A driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after a vehicle was found submerged in the water at Bluffer’s Park in Scarborough early Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the waterfront area at approximately 2:30 a.m. after reports that a car had travelled down a boat ramp and entered the lake. The driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, had already exited the car before first responders arrived.
No injuries were reported. Police took the driver into custody and transported them to hospital for assessment as the investigation continues.
