A dump truck with its box raised collided with the Langstaff Road Bridge on southbound Highway 400 in Vaughan, causing road closures and an arrest. OPP responded to the crash around 2:35 a.m. Friday and later charged a 32-year-old Brampton man with careless driving and operating an overheight vehicle.
A Ministry of Transportation bridge inspector is expected to assess the damage, though no timeline has been provided. The southbound lane reopened by 1:45 p.m. after being temporarily closed. The investigation has now been transferred to the ministry.
