An elderly man is in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest while driving in Ottawa’s west end on Friday morning.
Around 10:40 a.m., the man lost control of his vehicle on West Hunt Club Road near Merivale Road and collided at low speed with another car. No other injuries were reported.
Paramedics administered CPR and used a defibrillator before transporting him to the hospital. West Hunt Club Road was temporarily closed during the emergency but has since reopened.
