A 77-year-old Prince Edward County man has died after being struck by a motorcycle Saturday evening, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Emergency crews responded to the collision at the intersection of County Road 17 and Miller Road, east of Picton, at approximately 8 p.m.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries but was later pronounced dead. The motorcycle rider suffered minor injuries.
Following the crash, County Road 17 was closed for several hours between Lucks Crossroad and McKinley/Mitchells Crossroads to allow investigators to examine the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
